Cathcart Properties, Inc. is a land acquisition and development company based in Charlottesville, Virginia, founded by Rip Cathcart in 1984. In the early years, Cathcart Properties, Inc. focused on the acquisition of small residential properties, such as duplexes, townhouses and single family homes. In 1992 Cathcart Properties, Inc. made the quantum leap into large scale residential development by developing the 348-unit Lakeside Apartments. The project redefined luxury rentals in Charlottesville, VA.
